This is different from Apple, which sells music by album, which is based Sony's "Qriocity" platform. It is also said that the company will also be able to deliver digital content such as games and e-books. This seems like an effort to popularity over Apple, which dominates the digital music industry with its line of iPod and iPhone products as well as its iTunes store.
